In the MRP control file MRCTLFIL there is a field called
MRP_CTL_LAST_TM_00 which I assume is the time that is printed on the MRP regen report at the completion of an MRP run. The value stored in the field is 42143. Does anyone know the way to convert this value to 24 or standard time values?

Kirk,

I believe this is the number of seconds since midnight. There are 3600 seconds in an hour. If you divide 42,143 by 3600 to get the hour (11am) and divide the remainder by 60 to get the minutes, (42) and the remainder still left, 23, is the seconds.

11:42:23am is the result.

Does this match up with your dataset?

In a psql db, this number represents hrs/min/sec in a 24 hour clock. My last regen was at 12:43:01 & the field in the mrctlfil is 124301. Haven't checked mssql, but I don't think the file defs have changed. You can verify by doing an MRP copy & it will show you the last regen date stamp on the primary MRP before you do a what-if analysis. If you are trying to report on this field, crystal has some time conversion utilites built in that link to macola if you own crystal for macola. Otherwise, write your own formula if need be.

The value in the field was 42700, the regen started at 4 AM. I am assuming it updates the field when MRP is finished, and the Regen report shows Apr 22, 2003 4:27am , so I think your right. Thanks!
