I am using Vantage 8.03 for the past five weeks after coming from a company that used MAPICS with the old green screens.
Right now I am having a problem with removing what I will call "clutter" or "information overload.
I want to separate the reports or screens for items to buy and items to reschedule. Right now if I will look at an item and it is loaded with messages - hopefully I can make this clear.
If I have 500 due 2/13 and only need 5 between then and say 2/27, it will tell me to reduce the order. Then I will get a new message to buy more on 2/27. It basically takes the buyers analysis and decision making away and just assumes I will reduce the 500 release to 5 pcs.
How do I separate the mrp report to just show me items I need to buy, another for reschedules, and not assume any message will automatically be taken for face value. Every time we reschedule an order, we get a new message the next day. Our schedules are too fluid to be sorting through pages and pages of useless messages.
I apologize if this isn't the place to post this. If it isn't, could someone direct me to a more appropriate place?
