Mr.Pellet.....Server Based Application......

Mr.Pellet, what you understood is right, that's what I need...

Its a server based application that all employees access through a shortcut on their local computer and the application should not be opened more than once by the same user at the same time.

Please help me with the script regarding this.

Putting a program's EXE and related libraries onto a file server does not make it "server based." It actually isn't even a recommended approach at all due to the network traffic that can result and the poor performance overall.

The occasional program meant to run this way is marked by a linker to force Windows to load it into the local pagefile as a sort of cache. It is only rarely done, and most developers aren't even aware of the capability. This is something the end user can't really do himself.

As far as preventing a second copy goes... that is also a function of the program itself. I can't see any practical way to enforce this externally. A script isn't going to be of much help here.
 
dilettante: You are correct, however I think mrmovie's suggestion (in one of the other threads that veronicadiaza created asking the same question!) should work.

But veronicadiaza never responded to that thread....
