MQSeries V5R2. Error 2018 on MQOPEN Linux 2.2 Client WinNT Server

Hi All,
I have version 5 MQSeries on a Windows NT Server
I have Two Clients
a)Windows NT with MQSeries Client
b)Linux glibc 2.2 with MQSeries Client
I am able to connect and open to the Qmanager on the server fine from the winNT client
However with linux client i get a error of 2018 while trying to open the queue for ouput even though i have connected succesfully
IBM identifies error 2018 as invalid connection Handle

Has anyone encountered such a problem and solved it . If so how please?

Hi All,
Guess I have to answer my own Question. Anway the problem was that i was not passing the parameters correctly to the MQOPEN call and hence as a result of the error the connection was being cancelled. One has to be sure to pass the parameters correctly by way of reference/address or by value.
