I am installing MQ5.3 on windows NT 4.0. I started the installation and everything went on smoothly, till the very end. After installation,
1) when I say open Websphere MQ Services, it gives an error message “You do not have the rights of Websphere MQ Administration. You have to be a member of the group ADMINISTRATORS and MQM or u have to connect with system ID –AMQ4212”. Though, I am logged on using the administrator.

2)Trying to open Websphere MQ explorer, it gives an error message “Not possible to initialize the objects of the Websphere MQ Service. Server execution failed – AMQ4100”

Please suggest a suitable soultion over this, I am going mad over this ..

So, are you in both groups, Mqm and Administrator??? If not, make yourself part of both.

I dont think you need a reboot after your make changes to NT user profiles, but you may try that as an alternative.

Did you look up in the manuals for AMQ4100. This is what it says.

AMQ4100 The MMC document file <filename> could not be created. The IBM WebSphere MQ Services console has failed to initialize.

Explanation: The service program has attempted to create a default MSC document file in the MQM "\bin" directory, but could not.
User Response: Check that the disk is not full, and that the user has create and write permissions in the MQM bin directory.

Which again leads to the same issue posted in other thread. You may not have appropriate permissions to write to files in MQM bin dir. As a test, try to create a .txt file and save in that directory.

All of this points to security issue only.

Cheers
KK
