Hi

I am trying to create a trigger to automatically start the 'sender channel', if a message is placed on the associated transmission queue (on AIX platform).
.
Against this transmission queue I have specified a INITQ and a process name.
I have created this process which contains the name of the 'sender channel' as a parameter. I have also created the INITQ.
I then start the message monitor and place messages into a remote defn of a local queue.

Messages correctly move from this remote defn. queue to the transmission queue, where they stay.

The channel is not started, and no message is written to the INITQ.

I am completely new to this technology (and UNIX for that matter).

Any help would be gratefully received.

Regards

hi John,

on the xmitq u can set the trigerring control to 'ON' and under the trigger data value, put the 'Sender Channel' name. hope this would help you.

regards

Did you start a trigger monitor (runmqtrm) on AIX?
