Dear all,
One of our customers has the following problem :
He has a solaris box, with 2 fibrechannel cards, each connected to a san switch. These switches are each connected to a storage cluster. This meaning that each solaris box has 4 paths to a lun.The customer now has mpxio installed for handling the multipathing, but this is where it gets a little screwed up.Sometimes the solaris takes the preferred path, and sometimes it takes the non-preferred path.Is there a way to define that for a certain lun , a specific path must be taken, but still leaving in case of path failure the non-preferred as a fallback path? I've read sth about fp.conf, but there you can only state if mpxio has to be enabled or disabled , or do I have that all wrong ?
tia,
Kind regards,
R.
