Actually: BPTM is waiting for data from the source so data is not arriving fast enough (Each delay is 30ms). To improve things you would increase Multiplexing.
hmmm....
this is a read_data function
and it is waiting for an EMPTY buffer
It appears to me that data is being received too quickly
I think too much multiplexing is going on.
and to improve things you would decrease multiplexing
But I don't multiplex so I can't test my theory.
Perhaps you could increase from current level and test
and then decrease from current and test.
Then report from the bptm logs. At least that would
help me to better understand.

You may want to look at your data buffer settings to make sure they are not set at the default?? If they are default then I would recommend the Veritas website to see recommendations on these settings. They vary depending on the type of drive you are using. Setting them too high could actually hurt performace in some instances. If you've already looked at this please ignore this post. JR
