Hello, I have a few users who during login get an mprexe error in module locwin32.dll - when this message appears explorer freezes and user is unable to use the computer easily. I can get around this by deleting the user & home dir (or renaming them) and creating a new user & copying files to new home directory. I don't mind doing this but a problem occurs when i get the same error and am unable to get into nwadmin. I have gone to novell and microsoft sites and tried all suggestions which haven't helped. We are using Novell 4.11 and Win 95. Any help greatly appreciated.

What version of client are you using? Normally that error is machine specific and happens randomly. if it happens everytime check this:
and
and

Use the latest client & client service pack (currently v3.3sp3) and look for HP JetAdmin or JetDirect programs on the workstation, upgrade or uninstall them and patch the server to latest service pack (currently for NW4.x it is service pack 9).

Good luck,

Mark ;-)

You should also check for the Nimda virus. A client of ours started getting MPREXE errors on a number of workstation. After working through all of the TIDS (probably the same ones you found), we discovered Nimda was the root cause.
