MPIO failover among multiple nics

Does the Linux (RHEL4 update 4) iscsi MPIO allow failover between interfaces? If I have a single interface set-up with iscsi multipathing to my storage array working, is it possible to add another interface to my host as a failover interface?
Does Linux MPIO allow failover among multiple nics?
