Me and a friend have recently been experimenting with using multiple mp3 files with different tones/voices etc, to create musical compositions...
The result...other than crappy music... was that we could turn lots of used space in the plain mp3, to frames in flash. With some work, we have been re-creating our music with it, and the file size is PRETTY DARN GOOD!...
Not only can we specify different bitrates for each sample were using (such as voice at a lower sample rate, and guitar at higher sample rates)...but also, with certian things that repeat, such as refrains, and other stuff, taking down file size even more. Also, if we need an echo, we can just use the same file twice...so far, I'm wondering if you could use flash mixed with mp3's as a medium for creating web based music... Have any of you had such luck or seen this at work?
