I need to know the bitrate, the lenght, the tags of MP3 & VQF files to make an SQL insertion generator, in order to display my playlist.

Where can I find information about this or better some code that extract these informations...

Also, how to connect to a Database as mySQL which is not on localhost. I guess i need OBDC, but how to require a TCP/IP connection (dial up...)
