Hey ALl

I have successfully dual-booted,installed users etc.... but the biggest problem i am having so far is changing my browser from Konqueror to Mozilla 1.6, i downloaded the tar.gz file and followed the instructions and the software was installed... the problem is though, mozilla appears nowhere on the menus... i cant find it and if i try to open a link that is not on the net.. it will come up saying

Mozilla $url - error or something....

plz help

Thanks

Zed

From the shell prompt type "which mozilla" and it will give you a path to it. You can add a launcher to the panel and call mozilla with that path info.

If 'which' was going to work, it would have to be in his path, which I doubt it is since the tar distros of Mozilla usually install in a single directory and not in /usr/bin or the usual supects for a $PATH. Try 'locate' and use the full pathname to the 'mozilla' script, not 'mozilla-bin', probably in /usr/local/mozilla or /usr/lib/mozilla.

If your system supports RPM or DEB, it's usually more convenient for the inexperienced to install from one of those packages.
