When copying texts from a document and pasting it when Mozilla 1.0 is running seems to be a security risk. If one text is copied, like a password to your Internet bank and you later on copy some other text and paste it into programs like ICQ or on a chat the old text copied will follow as well. The only problem is that you don’t see the text until you press send.

That’s not good! I did by mistake send my banking password to a friend over ICQ. I also send a lot of web links, by mistake.. Now the web links wasn’t anything serious but there could just as well have been some sites that I didn’t want my friends to see that I had visited.

I tried to see if there was some corrections that could be done to avoid that. None among the Mozilla functions. And it didn’t help if I cleared the cache memory. The problem described doesn’t occurred when using M$explorer.

I encourage you to look further into this problem. If you can clearly explain how to reproduce the error, you have found a bug in Mozilla. Report the bug at:

I was surprized that my own bug (bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=95826) had never been reported, and they actually fixed it in time for 1.0! It's people like you who can make Mozilla a better browser.
