I have a mox8am module that has battery and ground coming out but no dial tone. When checking in maintenance it shows the module installed. When trying to call out can hear tone. Can't call out or in. When checking port it shows no equipment when it has a phone connected. I'm pretty sure the module is bad but I haven't been able to find anyone that will repair it. Any suggestions for a repair company.

Thanks

Depends where you are but probably best just to buy another one these days.
You can search Norstar Repair or Refurbishing

More commonly called Norstar ASM Module.

ATA's/ASM's do not show if an analog phones are connected because analog devices are dumb. Digital devices will talk to a KSU only.

-Make sure the Fiber cable is connected tightly
-Make sure it is in the correct ports.
-Make sure the power light is on and steady
-Try another Fiber Cable

"When trying to call out can hear tone"

Did you mean you cannot break dial tone when trying to call out?

I found a replacement unit and installed it. This corrected the problem. With dialing tones sound normal but don't connect. By repairing the unit it will give me a spare for the future and lower cost for customer. Maybe.

Thank you
