I'm hoping someone can help me in the following questions. I currently run sharepoint services and sharepoint portal server on same machine. At first I didn't understand the difference (newbie). Currently the

• PortalSiteName _PROF
• PortalSiteName _SERV
• PortalSiteName _SITE
SPS_Config_db

Are on a SQL server but I don't know if the services DB's are seperate from this and if they are still on the local sharepoint server or if after installing portal the above DB's are the active ones. So any help would be appreciated.

What I want to do is move the above to another SQL server but not sure if this only affects portal server and then I have to do something else for services too?

Where can I see the active portal db's and active services db's?
