Technical Val board Question…
I have always worked with system that had Val boards on the network. At my new company I need to move the Val that are already in use to the network. They are pretty full with announcements so this might be a task.

Has anyone changed Configuration on their Val’s and moved them to the network? Please let me know what I have to look forward to . I have installed a few but that was years ago..

Those help but my question really related to a few val board our company is using but whoever installed them did not setup them with IP address. I now what to install them correctly BUT they are in use and I worry about the announcements getting deleted.
Firmware is below level 6 and the card basically got installed without being configured.
We have hundreds of announcements on them now. Has anyone ever change the settings on a live board ? I think thinking I might need to installed a new board correctly and move everything over to conf. The older vals.. Just need to know if anyone else had to do this and how they made out..
thanks lisa
