Moving users from server to another without crosscertification

Is it possible to move e-mail users from one Domino server to another without crosscertifying the source and destination server? I know that copying the mail database and modyfying the person documnent can do this but it's not the way IBM recommends. Actually in the documentation this is a no no to do for mail files.

I need to move few users from one company to another and I really don't know how to move their files. Crosscertification is not an option.

You have no choice but to recreate a new ID and mail file. They can keep their previous mail file locally, or on the server under a different name.
