Moving users freezes at "Saving changes to directory"

When I try to move one specific user, from one server 2000 to another server 2000, it freezes at saving changes to directory.
I have let it run overnight 12+ hours and still nothing.
No logs say it has been complete, just frozen.
Any pointer?

A couple of things to look at - has this user got lots of mail with large attachments? Sometimes this will cause problems.

Also check your anti virus isn't set to scan the M drive on the target server as well.

Have you tried exmerging this user out rather than moving the mailbox - this is often more successful.
