Moving up one Directory in Dreamweaver Menu

I have a drop down menu in dreamweaver that needs to move one directory up (closer to the root) Ive tried creating the link relative to the Document and the root but it never seems to be willing to go up the one directory, I would really prefer not to hardcode the directory, any help would be great
