Moving up from 2.003

Does anyone have any comments on moving apps built in 2.003 to the newest version of clarion?

I have a package that has been growing since 1997 and I don't want to throw the whole thing out and start over.

Hi, I am in the same situation, Clarion has some good advice in the 'How do I...' section of the help file but to date I have not been able to do a successful conversion of my legacy app to ABC. I also would be interested in any comments anyone has to offer. Regards all.

Hi, If you just want to upgrade your C2 or C4 legacy app (using 2.003 templates) to C55 legacy then the process is relatively straightforward as the legacy templates haven't changed that much since 2.003

If you have modified your 2003 templates in-house, then i can recommend a nice little program called Compare It! (

http://www.grigsoft.com).

This will enable you to compare the old template file with the new and copy over any changes.

Don't forget to backup your original templates.
