I've just started using Corlel Draw 12 at work and am currently designing advertisments. I've noticed when you click on images you can select the x,y coordinates for the image allowing you to move the image by a small amount, say 0.01 in the x axis. Ive been trying to do the same with the text, but no dialog box is available! Down in the bottom left hand corner there is a output display showing what the current X, Y coords are. Is there a way to move the x,y position the same was as in an image? I understand that by pressing the arrow keys it moves the images by a grid system, maybe its possible to change the default grid size? I dont know.. Any help would be gratefully rrecieved!

Many thanks for reading,

C0B01,

never mind... ive found it. changing the nudge grid :)

Some other options to consider - holding the CTRL key while pressing an arrow moves a half step. Holding Shift with the arrow key moves 2 full steps. This can be useful.

Also, don't overlook the "Snap to Grid", "Snap to Objects" and "Snap to Guidelines". These can be quite usefull for ensuring text is aligned uniformly and set to baselines. The dynamic guidelines are good to turn on for that reason too. Lastly, the "Align and Distribute" tool is quite useful for getting text and grids aligned and spaced in a decent manner.
