Moving to Exchange 2000

I am trying to upgrade my company's network, this involves moving from Exchange Server 5.5 to Exchange Server 2000.
I would like to know how to upgrade and keep all of the original settings. A big problem that I would like to know about is that, both of the servers are PDC's, how can I overcome this?

just a small point - how have you managed to get 2 PDCs? You'll need to go to Windows 2000 anyway, so DC issues will go away.
