Moving text

This question probably couldn't be simpler... but it's stumping me.

I can't move text once I put it into an image.

I type it, then whenever I try to click on it to move it, it just lets me edit... I just want to change the location.

I know I'm missing something obvious but some help would make me so happy.

And I figure it out at soon as I post it... kind of at least.

Here's what I'm doing... I'm putting the text in its own layer, then choosing that layer, dragging a box around the text, and moving the whole selection... much not good if I wanted more on that layer though.... so in that case can I move just the text box?

You probably have the Text tool still selected. You need to select the Move tool before trying to move the text.
