We're in the process of moving around some of the many server-roles in preparation to transition to a full Windows 2003-driven network, but we've come up against a bit of a problem with the terminal server licensing server currently running on a Windows 2000 Server-box.

My question is this: Is there any way of moving the licenses from the 2000 to the new 2003-server that will inherit it's role in the network? I've done quite a bit of searching on this, but have so far been unable to find much info on this at all. Any hints/tips wanted =)

Everything can be solved by the application of uncontrolled force.

Or ignore the forum and call 1-800-MICROSOFT who can tell you exactly what you need to know about licensing.

2000 licenses dont work with 2003 server. 2003 licenses DO work with 2000 server. They are backwards compatible.

If they worked the other way the NT4 licenses I purchased years ago would work on 2003 server too.
