Moving SQL Server

Currently Sharepoint and IIS and SQL are all on ONE server. We need to move the SQL files to a separate server. We have moved all the other databases for other programs except SHAREPOINT

I used Article ID 905386 but received error message 823287 once I went to access the site. I have both WSS and SPS installed

What is the proper method to move the sharepoint files to the new SQL server
