I need to copy a specific row in a table to a new table and then need to delete the row in the original table. Appen query does not work because it appends the whole table instead of a specific row, unless there is something I do not know. Witch is most likely!

When you use the append query, make the criteria for the primary key field to be equal to the primary key in the row you want to move, then the query should only append the correct row.

Cheers,

Pete

This work if my primary key value stays the same but my primary key value changes for each record. Cant you tell the query to look at the primary key value of the record and then insert that value in the Criteria field.

Yep,

Assuming the query runs when you have a form open, looking at the record you want to move, the criteria should be:

[Forms]![YourFormName]![YourPrimaryKey]

If that isn't the case, let me know!

Cheers,

Pete
