Can someone please help me.

I searched the web and found nothing on how to copy a folder full of reports to a different server.

I migrated all of our CR 8.5 reports to XI. Then I copied them to our new server.
They do not run. I expected that since I have a new data server.

Is it possible to change the database to which the reports are pointing without recreating the actual reports??
The tables have not changed, but the database name and the server has changed.
I assume they point to the ODBC DSN on the server.

I am not using VB to run these, I'm interested in changing the database from the Crystal Professional Environment GUI.
I looked at the Database Expert but I can't find in the help how to change the database.
I don't have much experience with CR, and this seems like an easy task.
And yes I did set up the ODBC data source on the server.
This should be stemless I would think.

Thanks for any and all help.

In set datasource you will see all tables/views

Open each table until you see fully qualified name. Double click and type the table name as listed in the above detail. Repeat for each table. This will remove database name from the SQL query and will now run an any database where the required tables are located.

Go to database - View query and make sure you have not missed any tables.

Its a long tedious job, I had to do it when we migrated from 8.5 to 10.

Rpt.inspector as advertsised on this site may offer a quicker less pain ful solution. Not use it myself.
