Moving report from one database to another

I have recently moved a large number of Crystal Reports (ver 9) from one application to another with a new database (same data structure). I am having trouble getting the reports to recognize the new database. Here's what I've done so far on a report. I'm hoping that someone can advise as to what I am missing:
1. open the report in design mode and click on "Database" and then "Verify Database"
2. At this point, I simply log on to the new SQL database. I get a series of dialogue boxes that advise me that the database has changed and Crstal is proceeding to fix up the report. Once that is completed I just save the report.
3. I then go to "Database" and then "Show SQL Query". This is where I can see the SQL Query is still pointing to the OLD DATABASE. Unfortunately it is not allowing me to edit in this dialogue box.

QUESTION? How can I edit to change the name of the database in the SQL QUERY?

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

Sincerely,
Austin Moran

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question, IdoMillet! It appears, that if I go to DATABASE and then SET LOCATION, I must UPDATE every table used in the report. Is this correct? I can't simply change the database and all of the table that are used will follow.

I tried just changing the database, and then went back to view the SQL STATEMENT and it still showed the old database in the FROM part of the statement.

I'm not sure I'm being very clear here.

Thanks again, in advance for any help you might be able to offer. It is extremely time-consuming to have to go through all of my reports and update each individual table, rather than simply updating the database. Of course, if that is what I have to do, it's a lot easier than having to rewrite two-hundred reports.

THANKS AGAIN

Typically, you can select the data sources and just click Update.

There are tools that allow you to make the change to as many reports as you wish in a single step. For example, ".rpt Instector":

Visual CUT & DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.
