Hi all,
As mentioned on another post, I have a dead mobo. Which means I cannot access the two Samsung discs on the RAID 0 array. The deab mb is a DFI Lanparty 857Pro, which uses a Highpoint RAID controller.
I've got another PC which has a RAID controller, but that is a VIA chip. I've tried connecting the drives to the VIA controller but although the drives are seen, they are not recognised as an array (I wasn't surprised by this).
The drives come up as an unformatted drive D: in XP on this PC. I've tried RAID Reconstructor but it doesn't see any RAID drives either.
If I get a new Lanparty board (the 875-P has the same controller), what are my chances of reconstructing the array.
I had a Maxtor RAID array a few years ago and was able to recover this several times when it 'destriped' using a Maxtor dos utility.
I haven't done anything with the drives, i.e. created array on the VIA board, to destroy the data.
Anybody know the ins & outs of RAID well enough to give an answer?
Thanks for looking.
Fakey.
