Hello,

I am trying to move printers from an old server onto a new one. I have moved the whole /usr/spool/lp from the old server (SCO 5.05) to the new one but I get an error regarding named pipes when I try to print.

I have alot of printers and I'd hate to have to install them again manually.

any help will be greatly appreciated

regards

Sorry.

they are all network printers (their ip address won't change)

you will also need:

/etc/printcap
/etc/hosts.lpd
/usr/spool/lpd/

do your backup and restore with the print services stopped on both machines.
