moving print ques to new server

Hello:

Hopefully have a simple question…

I have aix systems on aix4.3 which will be replaced by new equipment and aix5.1, there is a lot of printer ques on the 4.3, is there a way to either export, move the files, to the new servers so the ques don’t have to be re-created manually? The only information I found was just copying over /etc/qconfig.
Is this it?

not really.
you also have to copy :
/var/spool/lpd

be sure to have the drivers for your printers on the new system.

I tried it but from 4.3.3 to 4.3.3 .
It works but not perfectly ( i have to redefine one or two of the printer). perhaps i missed something in the copy.

hope someone will have a more complete answer because i'm interested too .
