Moving new data from one pc to another

I have an application that I use at our main office, and would also like to use at a branch office. Both sites maybe in opperation at the same time, and I would like to regularly move records and data from the branch pc to the main pc. Using a phone link is uneconomical in this situation.
Is there an easy method of extracting linked data from the branch pc and inserting on the main pc??
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I've downloaded the replicator but I'm having problems getting it to recognise any of my databases, it keeps coming back with the message "unknown database" in the log. The instructions with it are not very clear.
Any suggestions??

Sorry - I've downloaded the replicator but I haven't has time to really try it. Other than suggesting that you email the developer, I can't offer any help on it.

A commercial replicator that you may want to look at is the PeerDirect Replication Engine. You can take a look at it at:

i have downloaded replicator but did not undrstand it,(any insight welcome) i have been playing with data transfer useing email, and ftp useing useing one of my web sites (this i find easier and quicker). it works best if you use a master folder for the data and seperate folders within this for the databases, a bit like useing a network then use data add in paradox. one problem you cannot use the auto increment feature of paradox.
It does take a bit of time for large databases but its simple and easy to experiment with.

This is one of those subjects that looks straightforward at first but quickly evolves into a can of worms.

Consider that any given record can be in one of three states: A new record; a modified record; a deleted record.

A new record is pretty simple, it is added to the other site. Of course autoincrement cannnot be used for record identification as these two sites are independent.

A deleted record, provided the deletion is really proper, is simply deleted from the other site.

A modified record can be modified by either or both sites. This is where it gets interesting. If both site modify the same field(s), which set of data becomes valid?

And from here, it goes donwhill.

sorry, but I don't know your email adress.
"unknown database" is a possible error if you have not a odbc driver pointing your database.

The "source" alias (do not write "sorce" in the ini file) is the database (odbc-) name from where you want to copy your data.
