Hello,

I have just purchsed a new server, SuSE 10, and have setup my company and carried my Database over. How can I grab all my Historic Reports which has data in them so I can have them on my new server.

I was trying to do this

ftp ftp.misc."ip address" of old server
cd /reports
mget

That does not work and I am lost on how to grab all the historic reports after I
cd /reports

Any tips or directions?

Thanks

Try using the SCP command, which stands for secure copy. If you can SSH into the server(s) this should work fine for you.

The command structure is like this scp user@source-server:/path/file destination-path/file. You can use wild cards to copy multiple files or whole directories and it should support the recursive sub-directories with the -R option.
