Hello.

The server that holds my data warehouse is being upgraded to a new machine and I would like to move a bunch of cubes to the new server.

I am running MS SQL Server 7.0 sp2 w/OLAP Services sp2.

I am looking for options.

I am hoping that it is as simple as using ftp to move the cube's files to the new machine. I would rather not regen if I don't have to.

Thanks,

Eric

Eric: In the OLAP forum MarkoKas gave the following answer to a similar question:

If you are using MS SQL Server 7.0 go to the microsoft page and download addins for SQL 7.0. Then you can archive and restore OLAP database.

In SQL Server 2000 is this alredy included.

Not had to do this myself but may be worth a try David C. Monks
