I need to create a new test farm and will be needing one of the license packs in my original prod farm. does anyone know how this should be done?

TIA

You'd have to move the XP base license not just user licenses surely to create an ongoing test farm which would stop your production one working?

I'd like to find a document on how to make this happen - anyone?

Likewise I'd like to know how to do myself as supposed to copying all the licenses not to mention the activation code which to me seems to be fiscible via the citrix web, unless of course you image your citrix server and use that image on the test lab as your heart desires. One other thing though not entirely sure of this, "cracks" rumour has it that some people use cracks to even activate the code, is this possible?...

Sometimes, you just have to forget your head and grab your balls ...!

I did talk with a Citrix Engineer months ago who told me that the licenses can be carved out of an existing farm and used to create a new farm. I thought he told me that I would just need to use the first five fields of the license to do so but I would like to be sure about what I'm doing and how to do it. The Citrix Support site is poor so I'd thought I would ask around. If worse comes to worse, I'll have their licensing support people walk me through it when I'm ready.

Remember, with Citrix support calls, licensing issues are "no charge" items. If in doubt about being "legal," I wouldn't hesitate to call them and explain your situation.
