I need to move about 200 MBs from one server to another. The servers are in different orgs and sites.
One option I have is the exmerge/export to csv and the import the csv/exmerge the data in. The only problem with that option is that all directory names will be changing. Since the pst files are created w/the dir name, it would cause some problems.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a "Plan B" to consider.
Thanks for all comments.

Well, there are a couple other possible options I'm aware of, as this topic has been discussed here before.

One was to export every users e-mail out to PST and reimport once the new Exchange Server is setup and running.

The other was the Mailbox Migration utility that I believe is on the Exchange Server CD, or can be downloaded as part of the Exchange Server Resource Kit.

You also might look for white papers on the MS Technet site that describe the second option.

You might also be able to restore all mailboxes from backup if you use a tape backup system with something like ArcServe 2000 that can restore individual mailboxes, or your particular backup software has a good Exchange Server Backup Agent.

Those are some possible other options. I too was exploring this topic at one time. Haven't quite hit that wall yet though. I'd be curious to for you to post if you find a good, reliable method.
