My hardware is getting a little old for my Exchange 2003 on W2k3 x32 server and the large amount of mail I have on it. I was thinking of just bringing up a whole new server on W2003 x64.

If I do this and move the mailboxes through exchange will I lose my single instance storage on my mail messages and cause my IS to expand?

Is there a way to just lift the edb and stm files onto the new server and reconnect them.

You have a legacy version of the product. You'd be far better off doing an upgrade to 2010 and getting into a supported scenario. BTW - single instance storage has been removed from the current version. It was shown to not be as beneficial as was intended.
