Is there any easy way of move Lu's connected to a TOken Ring Connection on one SNA Server to an Ethernet connection on anoter server?(SNA 4.0)

ANy help would be appreciated

The simplest method of accomplishing mass changes such as this is to use the command line utility SNACFG.

You would first of all use "snacfg /print" and redirect the output to a file. Then modify the LU definitions.

Once you have the new definition, you create a new configuration file, and then test it.

If you need further guidance, please let me know, but it is reasonably straight forward.

I have done this numerous times.

First Backup the com.cfg file to another folder

1) Stop the server service on the origin server
2) Stop the Server Service on the Target Server
3) Drag the pu from tho origin server to the sna server on the target server. (PU will show inactive)
4) The PU (Connection) will have lost it's Link Service association.
5) Associate the PU (Connection) to the Enternet Link Service
6) Restart server sevice on both servers.
