As strange as it may sound, Legato is running on my production server, and now everytime there is an issue with a glm driver that crashes the system, production suffers. I want to move the Legato server to another box. Once installed on the other box, how do I get it off of the production server? Also, has anyone heard about Legato 6.0 yet? I want to go to that since I'm making the change.
Any other suggestions on this move?

I don't know about safely moving Legato to another box. However, I have heard the inside scoop on version 6.0.1.

Apparently, the policies which applied to clients in previous versions, now applies to indidual save sets. You can now set a specific save set to retain for 30 days (example) whereas before, you could only define this on the client. There are a few differences in the way the newer version of software indexes as well. The database indexes are smaller and the client indexes are larger. You will have to keep in mind, that when you convert from your current version to the new version, you will need twice (2x) the amount of hard disk space of your largest client's index. For exmaple, if your largest client's index is 1GB, you will need 2GB worth of free space to perform the conversion. Apparently there are some "bugs / undocumented features" that have also been adressed in the newer version. I am also told that version 6, actually comes with a list of error messages / codes and explanations. I imagine they are going to be the more "common" errors / codes.

That's about all I know. We are going to make the move from NW 5.7 to NW 6.0.1 some time in the new year. I must admit, at this point, I am somewhat skeptical, but I am told that there are some overall improvements to the software. However, no one has really been specific other than the above mentioned.

Good luck!
