Hello,

I have a customer who wishes to keep their existing CCR data from and old server and implement it on their new one (another site) I am not sure what to do in this case and probably have not given all the information you need so bare with me.

Thanks,
Chris

Hey Chris,

Is it a new CCR server you're moving the data to or are you trying to merge the data with another site?

Hi Lackey,

It is a fresh install on a new server, their old site is being decomissioned and they have set up a new server. Currently the new server is running and no CCR data is on it as of yet. It would be ideal to move the data from the old server to the new server. Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Chris

User SQL Management Studio, create a backup of the SQL DB, copy the .bak to the new server, restore from backup.

you might have to re-create any wallboards / call centre views but you should retain all the historical data.

make a note of all passwords

Thanks Hairlesssupportmonkey,

I'll give that a go :)

You will need to sort the security out within SQL. There are guides for enabling orphaned users on the KB. Without this, there will be issues.

I have found that all users and passwords should be retained. Install CCR on the new server with the same Admin details you installed on the old server.

Restore a backup

previous accounts should appear.

I've had mixed results moving data on CCR. Re-applying to SQL users seems to help alot!!

Hi All,

THanks for your feedback guys, I will confirm whether the CCR was a successful restore.

Thanks,
Chris

Hello hairlessupportmonkey,

The database has been restored on the new server. When we try to login it currenty states User account does not exist, (This is th exact same account as the one on the legacy system).

The only difference between the two servers is that they are on different domains, is this likely to be causing and issue? If you have any ideas that would be great. Avaya themselves don't even know if it is possible to move the database across.

Thanks,
Chris
