We setting up a Mitel 3300 MXe in shop before moving it to the customer. We trying to move a single laptop with the 5550 IP Console Software between 2 consoles. We are unable to get it to switch over to the other console. It always comes as the 1st one. How do we overcome this?

Moving Laptop between 2 Mitel Consoles

This is sometimes very tricky, the MAC-adres of the console is linked to your laptop, I often do a reinstall of the software to overcome this problem.

have you tried running the config wizard again? how are you moving this around, just by removing the cat 5 cable from the one console and connecting the cat 5 of the other console?

need some more detail. if you say connect between two consoles, do you mean two 5550 consoles or two different controllers.
I think the latter is not the case. you'll have to run the config wizard every time you move the laptop. mac address is known to the software by entering it during the config wizard
