Hi Team

Has anyone done this? I assume it can be done. In my overly positive mode, I thought it could be as simple as defaulting the phone and loading it on the IPO.

I didn't even get past the defaulting stage as the Admin password of 27238 fails.

Any info would be much apricated.

Mike

Usually thos are 3PCC phones that work with IPO as just basic SIP clients. Additionally Avaya/Ring Central has to remove them from their provisioning servers.

is the phone have the IP address of the IPO in the http and https fields in the IP configuration option from the admin settings?
if so, is the IPO have an edited 46xxsettings file uploaded to the IPO ?

As @derfloh hinted, not all J100 phones are the same. Turn in over and tell us the product code (it will begin 7005.....).

[I hate the way the J100 team made there phones seem more slick for not advantage by hiding the display of what files the phone was requesting from what address when it was starting. Makes diagnosing issues and possible fixes much harder without having to bring out network monitoring tools]

I thought I would provide an update.

@saizbut Sorry dint see your message until now. These phones have the standard product id - 700513569

The Admin code is extracted from the RingCentral platform as part of the user ID and run through an algorithm to extract actual code. Its 12 digits and unique for each phone. Sorry I don't have the full details this is form a reseller of our IPO cloud platform, I didnt do it myself.

Once the code was known the phone could be defaulted and picked up its config from DES. This also resets the admin password to 27238

The hard part was getting the code out of the RingCentral portal, the rest was easy.

FYI we had previously had Avaya DES Support team remove them from the RingCentral account so we could claim them.

1. In Admin portal, go to Phone System > Phones & Devices > User Phones
2. Find the phone for which you need the password, and click on it
3. When the page opens, note the URL of the page
https://service.ringcentral.com/application/company/phones/804196332004/details
4. The password for this phone is admn804196332004pwd
All password will follow the format admn000000000000pwd
