Can anybody tell me how to get Arcserve 2000 to move the tapes from save set to scratch set when the retention time has passed? I am using a custom rotation, not GFS, with a simple 5-day complete backup that fits on one DAT tape each night, I would be grateful for any suggestions

Moving from save set to scratch set automatically

It’s done automatically when the next backup starts and properties of tape in pool say NORMAL and ONLINE. If tape has retention of 13 days it will be used on day 14. If amount of tapes in save set is set to 4 then their will be 4 tapes that wont move to scratch set until tape 5 comes along and 13 days have passed!
