We have 2 x 2000 servers. GC plus DC.
We have now installed a 2003 R2 server as member server but wish to move AD to the 2003 server and install a second 2003 DC.
What will be the best practice?
Also what about upgrading other excisting 2000 member servers to 2003?

One I saw last week
When you run the domain prep, use the one on the second R2 CD

Ok, so i ran adprep /forestprep and then adprep /domainprep on the GC 2000 server.

According to MS i must do the following: The forestprep operation must complete and replicate to the infrastructure master of each domain before you can run adprep /domainprep in that domain....How will i check this before running domainprep.

At what time is it now safe to upgrade the excisting 2000 GC server to 2003 and add 2003 DC's?
This server is also running DNS and DHCP and have the FSMO roles.
