In the past (about 2 years ago)I could use SCOPY to move users files from a File server (NT4 server) to another NT4 Server, and security permissions would retain. I think I did this From NT4 to a 2000 server as well with SCOPY. From what I understand SCOPY does not work properly with 2003. Does Server 2003 have a similar utility to bring in files and retain security permissions from a NT4 file server to a Windows 2003 server? We are currently still a NT4 domain.

Thank you

This may not help but I'd use a tape backup system, something like arcserve, to transfer files. This way ALL file permissions etc are kept. Also alot faster than copying across a network
