Does anyone know if moving directories and files from a JFS file system to a JFS2 file system and back is safe? Using AIX 5.1.0.3.

Your furniture and appliances don't need to be replaced when moving from a wood house to brick house.

Although the construction is different for the contractor due to the different types of materials.

The same is true for JFS and JFS2. One is wood and one is brick.

Back up your data anyway. Wood burns and bricks crack :)
