I currently have CE9 running on a win2K server. My problem is that the input and output directories that hold the rpt files are filling up the C drive. I need to move these directories off of the C drive to another drive on the same machine.

Is it possible to reconfigure the file repository servers to look to a different directory? Or will I have to uninstall and reinstall CE to another drive?

I'm hoping that someone out there has had to overcome this same obstacle and can offer me some insight.

Thanks in advance,

Jim

Hi,
Here's how I was told to do it ( and it worked, I moved over 200 files to a networked file server so space ceased to be a problem ( it has 100GB free))..

Stop all services except the APS and WCS .

Copy the entire FRS directory and its subdirectories ( inout and output) to the new location ( leave them in their original spot as well, you may need to go back if the move does not work..)

Using the CMC 'Manage Servers' section, change the locations for the Input and Output servers on their properties page and be sure to click on the 'apply' button - it may restart the server - I do not remember exactly.

Restart the servers that need it and see if all is well - if so, youi can remove the ones on the c drive.

As always, check twice, run once

Thanks for the info. I'll give it a shot as soon as I get a chance.
