Hello. In a few weeks we will be migrating our exchange box to a more powerful one. Current exchange setup is version 5.5 sp4 running on NT Server 4.0 sp6a. I will be installing the new server with Exchange 5.5, same service pack, but on windows 2000 advanced as a member server. Has anyone successfully restored the backed up exchange information to a "new" machine, and if so, could you give me any "gotchas" to watch out for before proceeding? I have done several successfull exchange restores to new boxes with ARCserve, but we have migrated to Legato (for performance reasons). I'd really like to pull this one off the first time with as few hiccups as possible. I've also been practicing backing up some data, then blowing away the machine, reloading the os, reloading the networker client and recovering the media index. I did that at least 4 times today, and all were successfull. My questions is then, will this same method work when trying to recover exchange??

Thanks in advance.
