Moving eMoH from one controller to another

VMiVB ver 8.1

I have FTP to /db/eMoH and download the file, there is Mitel KB which says you have to rename the file with a .raw extension and then convert to .wav mono 8bit 8Khz A-Law, I have down all the but still cant play the file on my PC. Any ideas please?

Use Audacity to convert it. Import the source file via Import -> Raw Data. Use the following options:
Encoding: U-Law
Byte Order: No endianess
Channels: 1
Sample Rate: 8000 Hz

Make sure to set the project rate for 8000hz, then export it as a .wav file, selecting U-Law Encoding.

yep i agree but use NCH Switch to convert it - works like a charm
here in AU we convert to alaw ccit wav file which can then be re-imported

If I never did anything I'd never done before , I'd never do anything.....

Potato, potato. I figured out the procedure using Audacity ~15 years ago because it was free/open source, just stuck with it all this time.
